A five-year-old boy suffered what police say are serious injuries following a crash between an ATV and a truck.

The collision happened Tuesday at around 8 p.m. CT on a grid road in the RM of Miry Creek.

The boy, who was driving the ATV, was air lifted by STARS to a Saskatoon hospital. There is no word on his current condition.

Mounties say he was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

A section of Highway 738 was closed to traffic while a collision reconstructionist carried out their investigation. It has since reopened.
