One man was killed in a collision between a semi-trailer and a car east of Calgary on Monday.
It happened on Township Road 221 and Range Road 265, near Carseland, Atla., at around 8 a.m.

RCMP said the semi-trailer turned in front of an eastbound car, which then crashed into the side of the semi-trailer.
The driver of the car, which EMS said was a 50-year-old Calgary man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to RCMP, charges are pending against the driver of the semi-trailer, who was uninjured.
The name of the deceased hasn’t been released.
The hamlet of Carseland is located about 70 kilometres east of Calgary.
