Thousands attend Adele’s concert in Vancouver

Vancouver says ‘Hello’ to Adele for two sold out shows – Jul 21, 2016

Thousands of Adele fans poured into Rogers Arena Wednesday for the first of two shows on her Hello! tour.

Many fans came from all over the world just to see her. Some came from Alaska, Wisconsin, Saskatchewan, and even Australia.

Tickets for her show sold out online in a matter of minutes. Many said scalpers were to blame.

“The secondary ticket sales market is estimated at five billion dollars,” said tech expert Bradley Shende.

“So this is an entire sort of ecosystem that’s servicing itself, and I mean things will stay as they are unless legislation comes in and unless consumers get really angry about it; which I think they should by now.”

Scalpers outside the concert were selling tickets for about $300 dollars or more.

But tickets were still available at the window, and were being sold for $214 – with obstructed views.

One Adele fan however was heartbroken to find out her $175 dollar ticket bought online was a fake.

Her lesson? “Not buying off Craigslist anymore,” said the disappointed fan.
