Police are in Mission Creek looking for something but that’s all they’re saying.

RCMP released a text shortly before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday saying that divers are in Mission Creek at the Ecocentre on Springfield Road.

“Kelowna Serious Crime Unit are continuing their investigative efforts in an ongoing investigation,” said Corporal Dan Moskaluk. “No details can be released with respect to the specifics of the investigation in order to safeguard the integrity of their efforts to date.”

There are three dive team members scouring the creek with metal detectors underneath the pedestrian bridge. Police confirm they’re looking for evidence but are not saying exactly what.
