The PotashCorp ‘Food on the Move’ program is back, bringing lunch to kids in Saskatoon.
The van delivers the meals on weekdays at 12 inner-city pools, parks and community centres.

Kids enjoyed sandwiches, fruit, vegetables and other healthy options.
The program is designed to fill the summer gap for students who depend on school lunch and breakfast programs.
Since 2010, PotashCorp has spent nearly $170,000 to help the Salvation Army provide the food.
“It just warms my heart. It’s also a little bit sad sometimes because you see that they’re just so excited about food and that’s something that should just be basically met,” said Christina Gerwing, the charitable gift advisor for the Salvation Army in Saskatoon.

Food on the move is expected to deliver between eight- and nine-thousand lunches this summer.
