The Saskatchewan Egg Producers has named Cam Broten its new executive director.
In its announcement, the board said they are embarking on a new phase to grow their industry and progress to meet future challenges under Broten’s leadership.

Broten, the former leader of the Saskatchewan NDP, stepped down a week after the 2016 provincial election when his party won only 10 seats, a gain of one seat from the 2011 election.
He also lost his riding to David Buckingham in a close race.

Broten starts his new position on Tuesday.
The Saskatchewan Egg Producers is the marketing arm for the 66 registered egg producers in the province.
