Calgary police issued a warning Thursday about a convicted pedophile released from jail, but considered at high risk of re-offending.
Dustin Roy Williamson, 23, is back in the Calgary community after serving three years in prison for sexual interference and child pornography.
In a release, police said Williamson has a history of sex offences involving children, including prior convictions for sexual interference, possession of child pornography and committing an indecent act.
Now that he has served his sentence, Williamson is being monitored Calgary Police Service High Risk Offender Program.
The release also urged the public should take “suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.”
