A deluge of rain didn’t stop A Taste of Saskatchewan from bringing food to Saskatoon’s Kiwanis Memorial Park for the city’s ‘flavourite’ event Tuesday morning.
Thirty restaurants, including five new vendors, are scheduled to serve up dishes ranging from entrées to desserts.
However, with a rainfall warning in effect Tuesday, attendance is expected to be down on the first day, according to show manager Scott Ford.
“We’re really optimistic that starting Wednesday, right through to Sunday, we’re going to have great weather and great crowds,” Ford said.
