A man has been killed following a collision between a truck and a train near Clavet, Sask.

Police say a northbound pickup truck and a westbound train collided on Saturday just after 7 p.m. CT approximately three kilometres west of the community.

The driver of the truck, a 68-year-old man from Clavet, was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No rails cars or engines derailed as a result of the collision.

A RCMP collision analyst was on the scene investigating for several hours.

Saskatoon RCMP officials say the cause of the fatal crash has not been determined.
