Relief from humid conditions on the way for southern Manitoba

WINNIPEG — Not a fan of the humidity?

Good news, relief is on the way.

A cold front will move in beginning Tuesday. In the meantime humidex levels in Winnipeg will soar to the mid thirties on Monday.

The one downside of the system is that clouds and showers will remain until midweek as temperatures dip below the seasonal high of 26 Celsius.

Tuesday will also bring very breezy conditions with winds gusting out of the north.

Once the front moves on we’ll see drier conditions start to emerge by Thursday with sunshine.

It’s still unclear how much rain we’ll see here in Winnipeg.

To the west of us in Saskatchewan some areas have seen more than their fair share of rainfall with flooding becoming a big issue.

At least early indications are that the weekend is looking up with sunny skies and more summer-like weather.
