Saskatoon police have seized a kilo in meth and have a man in custody who was armed with a 9 mm handgun and wearing body armour.
Officers were called to the 2000 block of Avenue B North on Sunday at around 5 p.m. for a report of a woman lying on the ground, possibly intoxicated.
Witnesses told officers that the man responsible for the woman being on the ground had then entered a bar at that location.
Officers entered the bar and arrested the man, who police say was armed with a loaded 9 mm handgun and wearing body armour.
They also seized a kilo in meth.
Two other men were arrested and around $8,000 seized.
Police believe a drug transaction was taking place.
The investigation continues and charges are pending.
