A woman is dead after a collision in Prince Albert, Sask. between a cyclist and a vehicle.

According to police, the woman was riding a bike north on Central Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. CT on Thursday when she went through a red light at the intersection of 15th Street.

She was then hit by an eastbound vehicle.

Prince Albert firefighters were called in to extract the 31-year-old woman.

She was taken to Victoria Hospital by paramedics where she died from her injuries. Her name has not been released.
