Two air traffic controllers at New York’s LaGuardia Airport have reportedly been fired after allegedly leaving work early the night of a fatal Air Canada crash. The Wall Street Journal reports their departure left one controller alone in the tower with no backup. The crash killed both pilots and severely injured a flight attendant, while investigators have yet to determine whether tower staffing played a role.
