Police in New Brunswick say a 22-year-old woman is expected to be charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing another young woman in Saint John.
Police say they were called to a home on Pine Avenue at about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday and found a 21-year-old woman had been stabbed repeatedly, while a 23-year-old man had been struck with a blunt object.

Police say the woman was in hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and the man suffered minor injuries.
They allege that a woman fled in a vehicle, but was stopped by the RCMP and taken into custody.

She was returned to Saint John to appear in court, where she is expected to face charges of attempted murder and assault with a weapon.
Police say the three people involved in the matter know each other.
