RCMP are working to piece together what led to a fatal single-vehicle collision along Highway 104 in Salt Springs, Nova Scotia.
Just after 2 p.m on Monday, police say a car lost control in the eastbound lane of the highway near exit 19.
The car left the road and went over an embankment, coming to a stop when it struck a guardrail.

The driver, a 65-year-old man from Sydney, N.S., died at the scene. The female passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The victim’s name has not been released.
