The province of New Brunswick has released the results of the annual resident moose license draw.
A statement from the Department of Energy and Resource Development says more than 61,000 applications were received for the 4634 licences made available this year.
“I congratulate the successful applicants in this year’s resident moose draw,” said Energy and Resource Development Minister Rick Doucet.

“I hope those New Brunswickers that have been selected have a safe and productive hunt.”

The department of Energy and Resource Development says they will not be notifying successful applicants by mail in the event of a Canada Post strike.
This year’s moose hunt in New Brunswick runs September 20-24. Licences will be available for purchase starting August 15.
