Five suspects have been arrested after a shooting during a party at an Aurora, Ont., banquet hall sent four people to hospital.
York Regional Police say an event — possibly a Canada Day party — was underway when shots were fired during a fight around 10 p.m. Friday at the Dinardo’s Mansion venue. A Canada Day hat was seen dropped on the ground at the scene.
Three women and one man were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said five suspects fled the scene in a white Porsche, but were stopped by officers and arrested.
Early Saturday morning police released a security-camera image of a man they say was seen leaving the area.
The public is advised not to approach him and to call police if they see him.
Witnesses are asked to contact police.
