The weather looks promising and there’s certainly no shortage of things to do and see as Kelowna celebrates Canada Day.
According to the City of Kelowna website, there are more than 50 activities and performances planned with an estimated 60,000 people expected to take in the festivities.
Things get underway at 10 a.m. at several venues across the city. Click here for the full schedule. The official openings happen at Prospera Place where the “Happy Birthday Canada” cake will be cut at 1 p.m.
After that, you can take a stroll down to Waterfront Park for the Taste of Canada food fair where there are more than 18 different vendors.

Music fans will not be disappointed. There are performances at Island Stage, Tugboat Bay beach, Pioneer Gardens, Kerry Park, Jim Stuart Park, and Prospera Place.
Of course, the answer everyone wants to know is when and where are the fireworks?
They get underway at 10:30 p.m. at Tugboat Bay. They’re scheduled to last 20 minutes.
If you decide to leave the car at home, Kelowna Transit will have extended hours with buses leaving Queensway Station 30 minutes after fireworks end.
