WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have hired Tony Missick to fill their vacant defensive backs coach position.
Missick was a guest coach with the Bombers during training camp. He replaces Barron Miles who left Winnipeg during the off-season to join the Edmonton Eskimos.

Missick spent last season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as their defensive backs coach. He held the same role for four years with the Calgary Stampeders prior to joining the Roughriders. Missick spent nine seasons coaching in the Arena Football League with Cincinnati, Norfolk, Richmond, Columbus, Cape Fear, Everett and Austin. He was also the assistant head coach and linebackers coach at Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Va. in 2008.
Missick played college football at the University of Kentucky. He spent five years in the AFL after turning pro with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.
