The Calgary Fire Department’s Aquatic Rescue Team was called in to search the submerged vehicle for any possible occupants. However, nobody was found inside.

Firefighters are using air bags to raise the vehicle so it can be pulled from the pond.

In addition, crews have placed a boom in the water to stop fluids leaking from the vehicle from dispersing throughout the pond.

The Calgary Fire Department’s hazardous materials team will be assisting with cleanup.
