KELOWNA — Sentencing arguments wrapped up on Thursday with an apology from the killer.
Tyler Jack Newton pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing a stranger, Caesar Rosales, on the bus.
Newton was charged with second-degree murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

The crown is asking for a sentence of 10 years in prison minus time served. The defense is seeking a sentence of four to six years.
Newton apologized to Rosales’ family, saying he was sorry and never meant to kill Rosales. He said he takes responsibility for his actions. He went on to say that he needs forgiveness in order to move on with his life.
The judge is expected to hand down her decision Friday morning.
