Autopsy results released by the Medical Examiner’s Office Tuesday confirmed the death of a man found injured outside an Edmonton hotel was not criminal in nature.

Police were called to the Chateau Lacombe Hotel – on 101 Street and Bellamy Hill – late Sunday night after a man was found injured near the hotel parking lot.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Homicide detectives were previously brought in to investigate the death.

Investigators said Monday the man was found just outside the hotel’s parkade, but said there could be a second scene inside the parkade.
