Lloydminster RCMP seek witnesses to armed robbery

RCMP in Lloydminster are turning to the public for help following an armed robbery at a convenience store early Friday morning.

It’s happened at the 7-11 on 44 St. around 3:30 a.m.

According to police, a dirty dark blue Dodge 1500 truck pulled up to the store. A man with a gun got out of the vehicle and demanded money from the clerk, then fled the scene in the truck.

The suspect is described as 6’0″ tall, approximately 180 pounds, with black hair. He was wearing a purple baseball cap, purple bandana over his face, a white-and-black long-sleeve sweater, green-and-black gloves, skinny blue jeans, and black with white Adidas shoes.

Police are looking to speak with two individuals who arrived at the 7-11 in a newer white Chevrolet Equinox around 3:25 a.m. It’s believed they may have witnessed what happened or may have information that could help police.
