It’s not every day that you see someone smiling after they’ve been arrested, hauled down to a police station and had their mugshots taken.
But that’s what happened in Bellevue, Ohio last Thursday. Three local women were pictured smiling in their mugshots after they were arrested for allegedly assaulting a McDonald’s employee — for “working too slowly.”
Bellevue police charged Ashley England, Mary Jordan and Sammie Whaley with assault after they responded to a complaint of an altercation at a McDonald’s parking lot.

England and Jordan, grinning widely in their booking photographs, were also charged with child endangerment because police said their children were present and “participated” in the incident.
According to NBC24, Jordan was also found to be in violation of her probation and is currently at the Erie County Jail.
Prosecutor David Claus told Global News that there could possibly be more charges against the women, but would not elaborate, saying the investigation was ongoing.

“It’s really early on in the process and we’re going to investigate it like with any other case. If there are more charges going to be brought we’re going to look into that and proceed accordingly,” he said in a phone interview.
Claus also said the victim was taken to hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries but has since been released.
