Dominick Leach, the Elks national president, added that he wasn’t just in the Elks to be a part of something.
“I’ll tell you what’s in it for me when you give checks to families that are in dire need for their children, they’re overwhelmed,” Leach said.
“It overwhelms you, and it sets the path for wanting to volunteer even more.”
The Elks support individuals in emergency situations with their personal assistance fund, along with their continuous support of organized charities.
