Toronto parks and recreation worker faces child porn charges

A Toronto parks and recreation employee working with tots has been arrested following a child pornography investigation.

Police say a search warrant conducted on May 17 led to the discovery of “child sexual abuse videos.”

Bailey Butler-Antoine, 18, turned himself into police on Friday and is charged with two counts of possession child pornography, one count of make available child pornography and access child pornography.

Police say the accused was employed by the city for the past four years working in aquatics, sports and youth programs.

Const. Caroline de Kloet said Butler-Antoine is on a “leave of absence” from the parks department.

She said he is not accused of being involved in creating child pornography and that the alleged victims “were not known to him.”

He recently worked at the Dennis R. Timbrell Recreation Centre and Parkway Forest Community Centre in the area of Sheppard Avenue East and Highway 404.

Butler-Antoine appeared in court Friday.
