Day eight of a murder conspiracy trial involving the father of an NHL player took place Thursday in Prince Albert, Sask.,
Curtis Vey, father of Vancouver Canucks forward Linden Vey, and Angela Nicholson are accused of plotting to kill their spouses and face two charges each of conspiracy to commit murder.
Final arguments were heard in the case and the jury will begin deliberations Friday.
Both have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The jury has previously heard audio of Nicholson and Vey in July 2013, when they were placed in police cells with undercover officers.
At the beginning of the trial, the Crown offered an eleven-person witness list to media.
Brigitte Vey, the wife of Curtis Vey, appeared last week. She was the only non-police witness scheduled to take the stand for the Crown.
On at least four occasions, Brigitte Vey planted devices to record her husband. The Crown argued that the iPod hidden on July 1, 2013 recorded Vey and Nicholson discussing the alleged murder plot.
