Bulldog puppy stolen from 12-year-old boy while being walked near school

Police say an 11-week-old American bulldog puppy was stolen from a 12-year-old boy while out for a walk in Brampton, Ont.

Peel Regional Police said the puppy, named Junior, was being walked by the boy and another boy with a dog in the Ray Lawson Boulevard and Stalbridge Avenue area at around 5 p.m., when it was grabbed by an unknown suspect.

The suspect then fled the area with the puppy in a red SUV that police said was waiting nearby.

Investigators said the child was walking the dog behind Hickory Wood Public School at the time.

Police described the suspect as an East Indian man aged 18 to 20 years old with a large build, beard, sideburns, blemished skin, wearing grey sweatpants.
