Crews forced their way into the bar and began battling the blaze, which was already being doused by interior sprinklers which had activated.

According to the Calgary Fire Department, damage from the fire was kept to the kitchen, but the pub suffered smoke damage throughout.

Nobody was in the business at the time and no injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire to spark.
