RCMP are investigating what led to an ATV crash that sent one man to hospital.

Just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, a 32-year-old man from Country Harbour, N.S., was thrown from his ATV, which later came to rest in a small brook on West Side Road in West Country Harbour, N.S.

Police say the victim was taken to hospital in Antigonish but later transported by LifeFlight to the QEII hospital in Halifax.

His injuries are considered serious, but non-life threatening.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
