A collision on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway shut down the southbound lanes of the highway near Red Deer Thursday morning.

Three vehicles were involved in a crash south of Gasoline Alley.

There were no reports of serious injuries despite debris being scattered all over the highway.

Motorists travelling south were encouraged to take the MacKenzie Exit until the lanes were reopened late in the morning.
