The website has information about new housing projects in Edmonton’s mature neighbourhoods and how residents can get involved.

“Developing in mature areas requires special consideration because of the sensitivities associated with building in an already established area,” director of development and zoning services Livia Balone said.

“This new site will improve the way the city shares information about process changes and educational tools to improve infill development, and help facilitate discussions about change in our mature neighbourhoods.”
The website has been divided into sections to tailor towards community members, new home buyers and builders because each group has unique interests, the city said.

Information on the website includes the importance of infill, how to get involved in the planning process, what development and zoning regulations apply to mature neighbourhoods, how to select and work with a builder, and how to build a well-designed home.
The city said more information will be added to the site as infill initiatives are implemented.
