A young woman died after being hit by a C-Train in northeast Calgary early Sunday morning.
EMS were called to reports that a pedestrian had been struct near the intersection of 12 Avenue and 36 Street northeast at around 12:40 a.m. Sunday.

When paramedics arrived, police directed them toward the front of the train, which had stopped several metres along the C-Train line from 12 Avenue.
A woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Calgary Police and Calgary Transit officials continue to investigate what led to the fatal collision.
The name of the woman has not been released.
C-Train service at that stop was shut down for several hours Sunday morning and shuttle buses were set up northbound between Marlborough and Rundle stations. Service has since resumed.
