“Police Day” takes place in Dartmouth

Members of the public are invited to stop by the Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth on Saturday to meet members of the Halifax Regional Police and Halifax RCMP as part of Police Day.

The event is a free showcase that’s designed to strengthen the ties between police and the local community. There are several displays, demonstrations and activities for people of all ages to take part in.

The event coincides with the start of National Police week, which runs from May 15-21.

Organizers say the goal is to increase community awareness and recognition of policing services.
