Edmonton police have laid charges after a crash sent a motorcyclist and pedestrian to hospital with serious injuries Tuesday.
Shyshy Gaym, 32, is charged with conducting an unsafe left turn at an intersection and operating a motor vehicle without proper supervision by a qualified accompanying person.
At 8 a.m. on May 10, the driver of a Toyota Rav4 was heading south on 90 Street while an 85-year-old man on a motorbike was heading north, police said.

As they both approached the intersection of 90 Street and 132 Avenue, the driver of the SUV allegedly turned left and struck the motorcyclist.
Police said it was reported the SUV then struck an 80-year-old woman standing on the corner of the intersection.
Both the man and woman were treated on scene and taken to hospital where they remained as of Friday morning.
The man is in stable condition and the woman’s injuries are described as serious.
