WINNIPEG — You could call the Winnipeg Blue Bombers jersey unveiling a “Throwback Thursday” of sorts. The club unveiled its new Adidas jerseys and team apparel Thursday morning, with wide receiver Weston Dressler and defensive back Maurice Leggett modeling the gear.

“These jerseys are a product of listening to our fans and their strong desire for these colours to return,” said Blue Bombers President & CEO, Wade Miller in a statement. “The mix of the retro royal blue with some new design elements on both the home blue and road white, recognizes our great history while also looking to the future.”

Players will hit the field for the 2016 season in a familiar hue after the team shifted to navy in 1995. The team did hit the field the past few seasons in that same colour for the team’s third jersey option.
Fans wanting to scoop a new jersey up will have to wait a bit, due to a manufacturing delay. Home and away jerseys are available now, for pre-order.
