Sask. RCMP on lookout for assault suspect considered armed, dangerous

Police in Saskatchewan are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect after an assault on the Little Pine First Nation. At around 4 a.m. CT Saturday, RCMP were called to a complaint of an assault at a gathering in a rural area.

A 23-year-old man was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a Saskatoon hospital via STARS air ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time.

Cut Knife RCMP have identified the suspect as Nakota Rayne Pooyak, 23, who is wanted for aggravated assault. He is from Sweetgrass First Nation, Sask. and has not been apprehended.

Pooyak is considered to be armed and dangerous and the public is advised not to approach him and instead call police immediately.

He is described as around six-feet tall and 180 lbs.
