West Kelowna Warriors steal Western Canada Cup up from Brooks Bandits

The West Kelowna Warriors are off to the RBC Cup National Championship for the first time following a 6-0 win over the Brooks Bandits.

The Warriors won the Western Canada Cup after upsetting the Bandits, who had skated through the round-robin segment of the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record.

The Warriors scored three times in the first period, once in the second, and twice in the third.

Brian Basilico, Nicholas Rutigliano, Garrett Forster, Kyle Marino, Kylar Hope and Jared Marino all earned points in the win while goaltender Keelan Williams earned the shutout.

The RBC Cup National Championship gets underway on Saturday at the Centennial Civic Centre in Lloydminster, Alberta.
