A 53 year-old woman from the Parkland County area is dead after her car was hit by a cube van Friday afternoon. It happened on Highway 2 after the driver of the van allegedly went through a stop sign at the intersection of Township Road 554 just south of Morinville.

Two passengers in the car were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the van was not injured, but has been charged with failing to proceed safely from a stop sign.
The collision is still under investigation.
