PENTICTON – The assets of Penticton and District Search and Rescue are hopefully more secure thanks to Lake City Casinos.

Last October, thieves broke into two trailers belonging to the organization and stole a generator and three jerry cans of gasoline.

Now Lake City Casinos has given PENSAR $4,261 to install a closed circuit TV surveillance system.

” We feel better that our assets have a higher level of protection,” says PENSAR president Dale Jorgensen in a news release.

In the past four months, the Penticton search and rescue volunteers have been called out to 13 events including eight missing people.
