PENTICTON, B.C. – A woman was taken to hospital in undetermined condition after crashing her car into a motel Wednesday afternoon, according to witness accounts.
The crash ended a spate of erratic driving that began behind the Barley Mill Pub around 5 p.m.
Witnesses told Global News the woman crashed into a truck in the pub parking lot, then drove into a wall.
She then proceeded to drive away across Galt Avenue, plowing over a chain link fence, travelling at speed across a field and into the parking lot of The Shielings Motel, where she drove 100 metres further along a narrow lane into the back of an occupied unit.

Neighbour Dana Courtoreille said the vehicle broke a natural gas line, requiring an entire utility shutoff of the motel complex.
“One guy was standing at the car calling her name, so I guess he knew her, telling her don’t move, don’t move,” said Courtoreille.
Courtoreille said the occupants in the unit were not near the back wall at the time of the crash.
Despite the distance, the woman drove until her car came to a final stop following a final crash.
No one else was injured.
RCMP have yet to release any official details about the incident.
