Police investigating sudden death on Montreal Lake Cree Nation

Police are investigating the death of a 33-year-old man from the Montreal Lake Cree Nation which is deemed as a homicide and suspicious. Google Maps

Saskatchewan Mounties are investigating after a 43-year-old man was found dead last week. The sudden death occurred on April 15 at Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

Waskesiu RCMP say the man was located on the front step of a residence by members of the community at 6:45 p.m. CT.

He is from Montreal Lake Cree Nation but his name has not been released.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place Monday in Saskatoon.

Members of the forensic identification section and RCMP Major Crime Unit North are also investigating.
