EDMONTON – Alberta’s auditor general has delivered a scathing report on school construction under former premier Alison Redford.

Merwan Saher says there were problems from the start when Redford’s government announced more than 100 new schools starting in 2012.

Saher says there was administrative chaos: no one was in charge and no money was set aside for building.

He says cabinet ministers announced new schools with no idea if they would be built by the promised date.
