WINNIPEG — Four people are in hospital after a number of “serious assaults” in Winnipeg’s West End early Tuesday morning, involving a robbery.
Winnipeg police said it happened around 5 a.m. to the 400 block of Victor Street.
“Four of five male suspects barged into the residence demanding money and property,” said police in a media release.
“Not satisfied with what was provided, the suspects began assaulting the four adults in the suite.”
Police said multiple weapons were used.
All four victims were taken to hospital and are now in stable condition.
The major crimes unit is investigating.
