CAWSTON – A grass fire that broke out Saturday in the Similkameen Valley is now in the mop-up stage.

Flames scorched 16 hectares, about four kilometers east of Cawston, before the fire was brought under control by 14 fire fighters.
It’s suspected the blaze was human caused.
