The child refused and ran away, telling her mother who then informed the school and police.

The suspect is described as a 70-year-old man, with long grey and white beard, wearing ripped, brown clothing.

Burnaby RCMP say parents should always be vigilant about their child’s safety and take this opportunity to talk to their kids about being safe.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or the suspect is asked to call the Burnaby RCMP Investigative Support Team at 604-294-7922 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
