MONTREAL – A funeral was held Saturday for one of the co-pilots of a plane that crashed March 29 in Îles de la Madeleine, killing all seven people on board, including former cabinet minister and political analyst, Jean Lapierre.

Pascal Gosselin was laid to rest Saturday afternoon in La Prairie on the South Shore.

The other pilot, Fabrice Labourel, was also killed in the crash.

More than 700 people gathered in the small village of Bassin on Îles de la Madeleine Friday for the joint funerals of members of the Lapierre family.

A commemorative ceremony in honour of Lapierre and his wife  will be held at the Saint-Viateur Church in Outremont, next Saturday.
