MONTREAL – Montreal police are investigating after a 21-year-old man was assaulted, as night clubs emptied on Saint-Laurent Boulevard Saturday morning.
Officers patrolling the neighbourhood on foot discovered a man in distress on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, just north of Milton Street around 3:15 a.m.

According to Abdullah Emran, Montreal police spokesperson, the man had injuries to his head was drifting in and out of consciousness.
Officers were nonetheless able to question the victim before he was taken to hospital.

His condition is not considered serious and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Witnesses said the victim had been involved in an altercation with another man. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
No arrests have been made.
