REGINA – RCMP say the body of Jonathan Richter was discovered in a slough Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 12:20 p.m., volunteer searchers found the missing 41-year-old man about one kilometre from his green truck.
Earlier this week, the truck was found stuck in a rural area near Richter’s residence, about 16 kilometres north of Welwyn, Sask.
An autopsy has yet to be conducted but investigators said they do not believe Richter’s death is suspicious.
Richter was last seen at a residence in Rocanville, Sask. on April 2 and was reported missing the next day after his family failed to find him.
RCMP Search and Rescue concluded their search on Tuesday. A new search team made up of trained volunteers were deployed Wednesday.
