A Chilliwack man is facing a number of charges following a report of a man allegedly waving a knife around and threatening another person.
Police arrived at the 45000-block of Yale Road and found the suspect fleeing on foot. He was quickly caught and taken into custody.
After further investigation police found the man also had stolen items and devices used for break-ins.
James Marvin Haslam, 20, is charged with possession of ammunition, possession of property obtained by a crime, possession of break-in instruments, two counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm, and assault with a weapon.
Haslam is currently in custody, and will be in court mid-April.
